    GENERAL MANAGER - LIGHTING

    Join us as we illuminate the future of architectural lighting. With a legacy of excellence spanning over a decade, our company is a prominent player in the commercial lighting sector, boasting a rich portfolio of projects across Melbourne and Sydney.

    As we continue to expand, we are seeking a visionary General Manager to oversee operations across two lighting businesses, reporting directly to the Group Director.

    The Company:

    With strong partnerships with leading manufacturers nationwide, we curate a comprehensive portfolio of lighting products tailored to our diverse clientele.

    The Role:

    As the General Manager, you will be entrusted with the strategic leadership of two lighting businesses within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to drive growth and profitability while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Reporting to the Group Director, you will:

    • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand market presence and drive revenue growth for both businesses.
    • Nurture existing client relationships while actively seeking new opportunities for business development and expansion.
    • Lead a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets and objectives.
    • Assume P&L responsibility for both businesses, overseeing financial performance and implementing cost-effective measures to maximize profitability.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders including engineers, architects, and interior designers to deliver tailored lighting solutions that exceed customer expectations.
    • Leverage market insights and data analytics to identify emerging trends and capitalize on new business opportunities.

    The Candidate:

    We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader with a proven track record in the lighting industry. The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Extensive experience in lighting sales, with a demonstrated ability to drive business growth and expand market share.
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • A strategic mindset, with the ability to analyze market dynamics and develop actionable plans to capitalize on opportunities.
    • Prior experience in P&L management, with a proven ability to drive financial performance and optimize operational efficiency.

    While prior experience in interior design or architecture is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Candidates from allied industries such as furniture and flooring are also encouraged to apply.
