What's the job about?
As
General Manager (Deals) you are responsible for the company's sales objectives by maximizing net new revenue and market share of the Deals product. You will oversee recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, compensation, and territory planning while leading a team of Business Development Directors and AEs across ANZ and EMEA.
Through taking a meticulous approach to developing a comprehensive understanding of our technology platform, product messaging, partner ecosystem, and competitor landscape.
You will contribute to strategy, sales plan creation, compensation structures, and customer segmentation, ensuring sales quotas are achieved by leading from the front and driving our sales objectives.
Provide leadership that fosters collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement, with a focus on mentoring and coaching the sales team to achieve their full potential.
General Manager (Deals) will also be responsible for identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships for multi-product opportunities that lead to sustainable growth with key customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
With a strategic mindset and the ability to inspire and motivate, you will play a vital role in achieving our growth targets and long-term success.
Some of the key activities for this role are:
- Maintain and raise our sales operations efforts, including the meticulous maintenance of our CRM (Salesforce) and Business Insights systems, to oversee and report key sales and sales activity metrics with confidence
- Regular travel to assist in deal creation and closure, as well as meet any managerial needs and provide support to your team as required
- Building relationships with key stakeholders within an organisation, including management teams, suppliers, vendors, and other outside partners
- Serving as a liaison between Marketing, Customer Success, Product and Sales within our organisation to ensure the delivery of highquality products and services.
- Responsible for P&L and operations of revenue business including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing financial data, sales performance, and marketplace trends
- Analyse customer and prospect data and market trends to identify new business opportunities
- Contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans and initiatives designed to increase brand awareness and drive demand
We would love to hear from you if you:
- have a strong background in corporate finance, law, banking, or private equity. Experience in any of these fields would be highly preferred
- have relevant experience in sales management, general management, or an operational leadership role in a global organization, with a track record of success in developing and executing growth strategies
- have strong SaaS Sales Leadership or Corporate Management experience
- have previous experience monitoring sales and/or operational performance with success in the sales field
- have outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of an organisation and across departments and regions; both internally and externally
- are experienced in the tech space and have a deep understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce
