- Prepare, cook, and serve food in accordance with menus ensuring a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards
- Oversee the appropriate receiving and storage of food
- Maintaining HACCP procedures and practices
- Maintain kitchen equipment and plant in good condition
- Provide direction and support to all catering employees
- Plan and implement daily food preparation list for effective production
- Analysis of all aspects of the operation to monitor and audit performance to ensure continuous improvements are achieved
- Ensure that adequate employees are rostered and report to the Facility Manager/ Scheduler any shortfalls
- Assist in providing regular feedback to all catering employees
- Comply with all aspects of OH&S compliance
- Experience in the hospitality environment, creating and motivating an innovative team that is able to achieve high standards of Customer Service
- Must have a high expectation in terms of quality and satisfaction and the ability to share this with the team
- The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to lift up to 20kg.
- Commitment to providing a customer-centric approach
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
