The Civic and Hospitality team provide services to our Community and Elected Members through hosting Community Engagement events and Civic events such as Citizenship Ceremonies.

The Civic and Hospitality Team are pivotal in providing a positive and memorable experience for those who are provided hospitality at the City of Stirling.


The Role


We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to take on the role of casual kitchen hand within our Civic and Hospitality team.

In this position you will assist the Executive Chef in the preparation, cooking and packing of meals, in addition to performing cleaning duties and assisting with maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment.

This position is casual and involves weekday work with hours of operation varying between 6:30am - 3:00pm. This role requires manual lifting to help setting up and packing down for functions.


Position Requirements

  • Takes direction from the Executive Chef
  • Washes, peels, chops, cuts and cooks' food and helps to prepare salads, desserts etc
  • Cleaning and sanitisation of the kitchen and equipment
  • Adherence to all WHS policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Handle and use approved chemicals in accordance with guidelines
  • Positive & professional mannerism
- 'Can do' attitude

This casual role attracts a casual rate of $ $30.53 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading plus superannuation.


This is a casual role, working a spread of shifts over a 7 day roster; mostly week days and some evenings as directed by the Executive Head Chef.
