Are you looking for a rewarding career and the opportunity to lead a team of highly skilled administration professionals to deliver to exceptional standards and provide great customer service across our hospitals? We have a permanent role suited for an outstanding leader to be our Senior Administration Manager across Northpark and LaTrobe Private Hospitals in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.
In addition, we have recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of our Maternity Unit which has 11 Post Natal beds and 4 birthing suites, as well as operating a 20-bed inpatient ward and 5 Operating Theatres.
Also onsite at Northpark are the Plenty Road Consulting suites and our Level 1 suites located within the hospital itself.
LaTrobe Private, which is co-located with La Trobe University, is undergoing a significant redevelopment at present with plans to expand and grow over the coming years.
It will initially reopen in early 2023 with 4 new Operating theatres, a 30-bed inpatient ward and 4-bed HDU; alongside onsite 11 leased consulting suites and 11 sessional suites with two procedure rooms.
Imaging, pathology a new kitchen and café will be built onsite as well.
In securing this role you would be joining Healthscope, Australia's only national private healthcare provider, operating 39 hospitals across the country and employing over 18,000 people Australia-wide.
By offering the latest technology and new facilities, our hospitals attract leading staff and consultants and have dedicated Nursing, Allied Health and Support Services staff.
About the role
Your key responsibilities will focus on delivering exceptional customer service to key stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Preparing for the opening of our current redevelopments and a period of growth, the position will have input into our Business Development and Growth strategies and be accountable for meeting safety, service, quality, financial and other organisational targets.
- Experience in similar roles preferably in a private healthcare setting
- Well organised and able to manage challenging conversations
- Create and maintain a high performing administration department across multiple sites
- Experienced success in navigating a complex working environment
- Proven ability to enable continuous improvement initiatives, improve customer satisfaction levels and meeting budgets and deliver business efficiencies
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, demonstrated by high standard report writing
- Capacity to form positive relationships with staff and doctors and experience in business development
- A strong patientcentric mindset
Understanding of:
- The private healthcare industry, health funds, medicare, bookings, admissions, discharge and patient billings process
- Experience using Healthcare IT systems and Patient Database programs (Webpas & Zedmed highly regarded)
- Leasing
- Recruitment and rostering of a large administration team
- Experience managing staff across multiple locations
