  • Are you an experienced healthcare practice manager or customer service professional ready for the next challenge in your career? Northpark and La Trobe Private Hospitals seek an experienced professional to delivery outstanding customer service in our consulting and sessional suites. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, have previous experience managing a team in medical administration and/or a private GP/specialist practice, be committed to high standards of customer focused care, and possess excellent time management and organisational skills. As the Consulting Suites Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day to day efficient and safe running of the Consulting Suites, including achievement of KPIs plus accountability for staffing, recruiting, supplies, service provision to tenants (permanent and sessional) and management of written tenancy agreements and licences.
  • Leading, coaching and developing Administration Officer team members, furthering a highperforming team
  • Creating a compelling Consulting Suites service offering, advancing a culture of exceptional customer service for Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and patients
  • Maximising efficiencies with management of resources
  • 3+ years management experience in Consulting Suites or senior position held in Medical Centres


  • TAFE/ Certificate

  • Diploma level qualification in Frontline Management, Business Management or related discipline (or working towards same)
  • Sound knowledge of, and experience in, practice management, including labour planning/rostering and overall resource and revenue management to KPIs
  • Established and managed relationships with key stakeholders, networks and customers (e.g. VMOs, patients, families) from diverse backgrounds
  • Have led a team, including coaching, development and performance management
  • Excellent communication, organisational, planning and customer service skills
  • Ability to utilise numeric data to identify and implement improvements
  • Working with Children check

About us:


Northpark Private Hospital is undergoing a significant renovation and will provide 73 Mental Health beds, inclusive of Early Parenting and Baby sleep settling beds, to the local community.

In addition, we have recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of our Maternity Unit which has 12 Post Natal beds and 3 birthing suites, as well as operating a 20-bed Surgical inpatient ward and 4 Operating Theatres.

Also onsite are the Plenty Road Consulting suites and our Level 1 suites located within the hospital itself. Both have a mix of sessional and permanently leased suites - 31 in total.


Nearby LaTrobe Private, which is co-located with La Trobe University, has recently undergone a significant redevelopment and successfully opened its doors to our community on 5 February this year.

La Trobe boasts 4 new Operating theatres, a 34 bed inpatient ward and a total of 23 Consulting Suites. Imaging and pathology are also onsite and a new Café is coming soon
