Northpark Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our Consulting Suites team on a part-time basis.

Northpark Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

Northpark provides a full range of surgical and medical services including a dedicated mental health unit, a full service maternity unit including mother and baby services.


Northpark Hospital is located on the corner of Plenty road and Greenhill's road Bundoora, close to public transport and onsite parking is available.


As a Medical Secretary your responsibilities will include:

  • Reception and welcoming patients
  • Billing and debtors for our specialists
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments
Doctors Inpatient Billing

  • Collecting patient information, maintaining patient privacy and accurate data entry
  • General administration and office duties
  • Management of correspondence
  • Liaising with multiple departments within the hospital
  • Completing tasks as allocated by management team
Audiotyping


Essential Criteria:


  • Past experience as a medical secretary in fastpaced medical setting/hospital
  • Ability to multitask while prioritising duties
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • A high level of computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft, Patient Management system
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy
  • Patient focused and empathetic

Desirable Criteria:

Experience using Patient Management Software ZEDMED or similar
