Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, looking to step into more of a leadership role? Northpark Private Hospital is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to work as Associate Nurse Unit Managers for three key positions within our perioperative department:

Work has commenced on the major expansion of both the Northpark and LaTrobe Private sites to ensure we meet the growing demand for quality health care across Melbourne's Northwest.


  • Expansion of our established Mental health wards by 22 beds including a 10 bed older persons unit
  • Growth of support areas for Mental health expansion ie group spaces, meeting rooms, interview spaces, a gymnasium and patient support areas

Position Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
  • Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
  • Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Undertaking direct patient care, as required

Selection Criteria:


  • At least 3 years experience in relevant nursing speciality
  • Post Graduate Degree in relevant specialty area
  • Current Registration with AHPRA & WWCC
  • Sound clinical knowledge
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive role modelling behaviours
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
  • People management experience (desirable)

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses and Midwives Agreement 20
" (salaries range between $51.77 and $55.06 per hour).**
