    Sales Executive

    Full time permanent opportunity| Canberra Location | $120,000 - $150,000 per annum plus superannuation

    OVERVIEW

    Our client is currently seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join their team. Within this role you will leverage your expertise and relationships to forge meaningful partnerships with government clients. By understanding their unique needs, navigating complex procurement processes, and delivering value-driven solutions, you will help government agencies achieve their goals.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and execute a sales strategy to penetrate the government market and achieve revenue targets.
    • Identify and qualify leads within government agencies, including federal, state, and local governments.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the government sector.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that address the specific requirements of government clients.
    • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with government procurement officials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and procurement guidelines.
    • Stay informed about government policies, initiatives, and funding opportunities that may impact sales opportunities.
    • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to senior management.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand the company's presence in the government sector.

    EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public administration, or related field.
    • Proven track record of success in sales, with experience selling to government clients.
    • Strong network of contacts within government agencies and knowledge of government procurement processes.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions and build consensus among stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and drive results.
    • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend meetings/events.
