    We offer more than 400 courses, from VCE/VCM/VETiS, through to nationally accredited qualifications such as certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, degrees, graduate certificates, graduate diplomas, and short courses.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Student Ambassador program similarly aims to provide Chisholm students an opportunity to develop their employability and enhance career readiness, providing experiences and fostering transferable skills for future employment.

    As a Student Ambassador, you will provide seamless service and engagement to all Chisholm students and prospective students; with the aim to improve social connectedness via peer-to-peer experience. You will lead by example, always displaying student focused behaviours.

    The role will be based in Dandenong, with travel and work based around other Chisholm Campuses as well as off-campus external exhibition events.

    Your key responsibilities include-

    • General assistance to current/prospective students (i.e., the 'welcoming face' of Chisholm in commonly accessed/utilised spaces (i.e., Student Hubs, Front Counters and Libraries).
    • Support current/prospective students to navigate physical and digital spaces to source the information they require (both face-to-face and via Web Chat).
    • Promote self-service; helping students to independently find the information they need in the digital Environment, Specialist assignments, aligning with individual skill set/knowledge and Department/Business Area needs (i.e., IT Support (Library based), Events and Marketing, Mentoring).
    • Maintain physical environments throughout Chisholm campuses and external exhibition events where Chisholm is represented (i.e., restoring furniture, ensuring the environment is welcoming for students/prospective students).
    • Assist with general office administration when required (i.e., preparation and packing of marketing collateral required for events, data entry and other general office duties).
    • Attend on-campus recruitment and pathways events e.g., Open Nights, school expos, tours, etc.

    ABOUT YOU

    You are currently enrolled and actively participating in a Chisholm Institute course with-

    • Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service to clients (i.e., retail, hospitality,administration).
    • The ability to work collaboratively and adopt a teamwork approach.
    • Ability and willingness to work across different Department/Business Areas throughout the Institute as required.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven ability to quickly develop rapport and positive working relationships with colleagues from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds.
    • Sound understanding/awareness of Chisholm services, support, and functions.
