Exciting opportunity for an experienced industry engagement professional to join our Employability team.


In this role you will be responsible for initiating, securing, developing, and managing relationships with business, industry, government and the community sectors to facilitate the procurement of employment opportunities for Swinburne students, including placements and internships.

The role acts as an ambassador for the University by contributing to Swinburne's objective in providing every Swinburne student a relevant work experience.


The successful applicant will bring with them the skills and experience to identify internal and external networks to capitalise on business opportunities and undertake research and analyse data to identify new opportunities.

Additionally, this role is accountable for effectively fostering and managing these networks and partnerships.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated business development experience in a complex organisation
  • Ability to undertake research and analyse data to identify new opportunities
  • High level stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels and gain commitment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to facilitate the provision of advice and support required by both staff and students

Qualifications

  • A degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience; or Extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
