Internal Communication Coordinator
An excellent opportunity is available for an Internal Communications Coordinator to join the Communications and Marketing team at Australia's pre-eminent biomedical research institute.
About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic all-round communications expert to take ownership of the communications activities that support the success of WEHI's internal committees, broader social justice agenda and initiatives that support WEHI's values.
This is a diverse role that will suit someone passionate about creating a positive and inspiring work culture by providing opportunities for social and professional connection across the WEHI community.
Supporting a range of internal committees and initiatives that reflect WEHI values, the Internal Communications Coordinator will create and deliver a range of communications activities that support gender equality, environmental sustainability, cultural celebration and a range of diversity and inclusion initiatives, policies, and events.
The role is focused on enabling collaboration and empowerment so that students and staff can perform their best and become WEHI brand ambassadors.
Selection Criteria
- This is a true 'people person' job requiting high levels of internal consultation, collaboration and the following traits and skills:
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience in communications or public relations.
- Exceptional organisation skills and highly collaborative approach with a willingness to provide proactive support to a number of internal committees, associations and valuesrelated events and initiatives.
- Site maintenance and management of content quality for WEHI's Sharepoint intranet site.
- Compilation and digital distribution of the institute's internal newsletters.
- Ability to work within a dynamic Communications and Marketing team and to provide support as needed to colleagues in events, media, and external communications.
Terms of Appointment
This is a full-time ongoing role.
Salary is Professional Services Employee Level 5 ($73,621 - $84, 564.) Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
