We are partnering with a Global non-bank lender that is looking for an experienced Trust Accountant to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract (FTC). This role is to cover an internal secondment and whilst we cannot guarantee a permanent opportunity with the company after this, the company is continuing to strengthen and grow their operations so cross functional opportunities may arise.

As a Trust Accountant you will be working in a close-knit team, supporting on both daily and monthly accounting, and reporting across a variety of accounts. The company values the development of their staff, so extensive onboarding and support will be provided to help you succeed in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciling daily loan transactions and daily cash payments across various Trust and Securitization accounts.
Working on month end reporting, user acceptance testing (UAT) and coding.
Assist Customer Operations team with loan payments including redraws, refunds, additional advances tracing.
Reconciling and accounting for expenses and commissions.
Leading mini projects and liaising with multiple stakeholders and teams.

Ideal Candidate:

CPA or CA qualified is essential.
3 years minimum of accounting or finance experience, with at least 1 year within Trust or Securitization.
Advanced excel skills, with experience using Alteryx and exposure to various accounting platforms a bonus.
A genuine passion for what you do, a good team player with the right attitude and strong attention to detail.

Additional Information:

Sophisticated office based in North Sydney
For the first month you will need to be based in the office full time for onboarding/training. After this the role will be 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH.
As a FTC you will receive the same benefits (holidays, sick leave etc) as a permanent employee, but your salary will be pro-rated and you have an official end date.
