- Provide support for the Finance Manager in the areas of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reporting
- Supervise the Assistant Accountant and ensure accurate and timely results
- Complete monthly accruals, prepayment and allocation journals
- Drive accurate and piercing insights through the P&L review
- Prepare the balance sheet account reconciliations
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to the business in line with Australian Accounting Standards and Statutory requirements
- Assist in the preparation of yearly financial and statutory reporting
- Prepare and lodge the FBT return
- Assist in audit processes as required
- Other accounting and business review functions as required

Role Overview
As the Financial Accountant, you'll work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant in a small finance team. Your responsibilities involve supporting month-end tasks, such as weekly and monthly financial reporting, processing journals, and managing balance sheet reconciliations. Your role also includes daily bank reconciliations, maintaining the fixed asset register, and handling BAS and FBT lodgements.
