    Role Overview

    As the Financial Accountant, you'll work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant in a small finance team. Your responsibilities involve supporting month-end tasks, such as weekly and monthly financial reporting, processing journals, and managing balance sheet reconciliations. Your role also includes daily bank reconciliations, maintaining the fixed asset register, and handling BAS and FBT lodgements. Embrace the opportunity to enhance and automate month-end reporting processes, emphasizing general process improvements and system utilization for increased efficiency and error reduction. This role is ideal for an experienced Financial Accountant.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide support for the Finance Manager in the areas of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reporting
    • Supervise the Assistant Accountant and ensure accurate and timely results
    • Complete monthly accruals, prepayment and allocation journals
    • Drive accurate and piercing insights through the P&L review
    • Prepare the balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Provide accurate and timely reporting to the business in line with Australian Accounting Standards and Statutory requirements
    • Assist in the preparation of yearly financial and statutory reporting
    • Prepare and lodge the FBT return
    • Assist in audit processes as required
    • Other accounting and business review functions as required

    Candidate Profile

    You are CA/CPA qualified, bringing substantial experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally with a focus on best practices. Your background highlights success in private enterprise settings, demonstrating your adeptness. Functioning as a natural business partner, you thrive on optimising value and efficiency in processes and reporting. Proficient in Excel, your extensive experience is complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your unwavering work ethic is a cornerstone of your professional pride.
