Job Description

We're looking for a talented and motivated Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with 1-3 years of experience in accounting to grow and develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and reconciliations
Support in the preparation of management reports, financial forecasts, budgets, and models to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identify potential risks and opportunities
Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including GST and ASIC reporting, as well as assisting with ad hoc reporting such as income tax calculations and quarterly sales commission calculations

Qualifications

Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or similar qualification
CPA or CA qualification in progress or completed
Previous relevant experience in a similar role within a professional services or similar environment
Strong knowledge of transactional accounting, management accounting, and financial accounting principles and practices
Familiarity with internal controls and compliance requirements is desirable
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation
Advanced Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
