    Default job background
    Description

Save the Children is well known for championing creative and innovative solutions to support all children and families to reach their full potential. We're on the search for an experienced and passionate administration professional to support our Tasmanian Teams.

We champion the children, young people and families we work with. We are inspired by the curiosity and creativity of children and motivated by the love of those who care for them.

With the child's voice at the centre, we provide quality services to children and their caregivers, advocating with them so that children develop, learn, and are connected, safe and confident. Our people are proudly local, reflective of the communities we serve - in every state and territory, and across regions, remote areas and capital cities.

    Where you come in:

In this permanent part-time position (3 days per week – days negotiable), you'll provide effective and efficient day-to-day administrative coordination and have an opportunity to extend your skills and help facilitate the development of business systems and supports that increase our ability to make a positive impact in our community. You'll report to the Operations Support Manager and to secure the right person, we are keen to hear from candidates located in Devonport, Launceston and Hobart.

You will make an impact by:

    • Finance - Accurately undertake all financial activities including the processing of invoices, purchase orders, banking and budget development,
    • Property & Asset Management – Coordinate asset management including office site management, fleet and office hardware assets,
    • Communications & Stakeholder Engagement – Engage with internal and external stakeholders and provide information and support in an appropriate and accurate manner,
    • Workplace health and safety - Coordinate property audits and identify opportunities for improvement and respond accordingly, and
    • Administration - Provide general office coordination and support.

    Does this sound like you?

You're an adaptable all-rounder, with a proven background in administration or office management support, finance and data processing and/or able to acquire these skills quickly. Your organisational skills alongside your attention to detail will support the efficient and effective running of the Tasmanian team. You're personable and friendly, and you'll easily build strong positive relationships with all stakeholders and the community.

    This role requires:

    • Strong computer literacy and data entry skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases and graphics) are essential,
    • Financial and invoice reconciliation skills and experience,
    • Exceptional customer service skills,
    • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills,
    • Strong time management and organisational skills, and
