About the Role

We are currently looking for a determined and enthusiastic Classroom Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive team. Learning Support Assistants work with a variety of students from Kindergarten to Year 6. They assist classroom teachers and may work with individual students or small groups of students under the direction of the classroom teacher or the Learning Support Teacher. The Diverse Learning Team is a high-performing team, so the successful applicant must have great communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Working with individuals and groups of students in the classroom as directed by the teacher.

Plan collaboratively with the class teacher to develop effective programs.

Supporting students by listening, directing, explaining, reassuring, encouraging, re-directing and reinforcing.

Recording, charting, observing and reporting back on student achievement.

Essential Criteria

Must hold a NSW Working with Children Check registration.

Relevant work experience

Certificate III/IV in Education Support (or equivalent) (desirable)

You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.
