Job Description

The role

Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel
Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.
Ensure stock control procedures are implemented and maintained
Prepare and ensures availability of mis en place as required
Order necessary foods according to proposed business demands.
Be familiar with other areas in the Kitchen so when called upon, assistance can be provide

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Commercial Cookery Certificate qualification
Previous Commis Chef experience preferably in hotels
Excellent time & task management skills
The ability to plan & communicate daily work schedules
A willingness to learn
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Valid work rights for a part time position within Australia
