    Job Description

    The role

    • Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel
    • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.
    • Ensure stock control procedures are implemented and maintained
    • Prepare and ensures availability of mis en place as required
    • Order necessary foods according to proposed business demands.
    • Be familiar with other areas in the Kitchen so when called upon, assistance can be provide

    Qualifications

    What we are looking for

    • Commercial Cookery Certificate qualification
    • Previous Commis Chef experience preferably in hotels
    • Excellent time & task management skills
    • The ability to plan & communicate daily work schedules
    • A willingness to learn
    • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
    • Valid work rights for a part time position within Australia
