    Your new role: Business Development Representative

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Managing key accounts and projects across various industries such as building & construction, mining & resources, defence, education, agri-business, and remote accommodation.
    • Exploring business development opportunities in line with national growth strategies. Clients range from local builders to Tier 1 global companies.
    • Working collaboratively with local teams to ensure key KPI's and growth strategies are met and exceeded.
    • Generation and conversion of leads through tender and project resources, with a planned approach to target new customers.
    • Bring fresh new ideas to the table with a goal for best of class practices brought to life.
    • Maintaining regular contact with our valued existing customer base and industry influencers.
    • Lead targeted marketing and networking activities including attendance at relevant trade events, and seminars etc.
    • Active participation within the team and sales meetings providing updates on progress.
    • Reporting activities, entry of quotes into the system, and efficient maintenance of customer relationship management (CRM) database.
    What you will bring to the role:
    • Degree, Certificate, or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field OR min 5 years proven B2B sales experience, especially in dynamic environments like modular, building, hire, or construction. We would also consider applicants from new home, residential sales, or steel products, or building consumables.
    • You will love the thrill of the chase of bringing in new business.
    • You will be a self-starter, and display initiative with a focus on exceptional customer service.
    • The ability to hit the ground running, be self-confident, and exercise sound business judgment.
    • Proven track record of developing sales through innovative thinking, and building client relationships, as well as exceeding your sales targets.
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database experience (Salesforce would be advantageous)
    • Demonstrated resilience, tenacity, and professionalism.
    • A proactive attitude and mature work ethic that will role model and drive professional workplace behaviours, aligned with Ausco's values.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders, which will also foster productive working relationships with the operations group.
    • Ability to be flexible, agile, and "muck in and help" in a small team environment.
    • Demonstrated behaviours in support of company values of Teamwork, Care, Ownership, Respect, and Excellence.
