    • 6 Month contract with option to extend
    • Work for large Government organisation
    • Hybrid working- 3 days in office

    As a Management Accountant, you will work closely with the Manager, Management Accounting on a temporary contract for an initial period of 6 months. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of annual and long-term budgets, production of monthly budget reports, and quarterly budget reviews for the organisation. There is a high likelihood this role will be extended but is subject to performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the preparation of annual and long-term budgets, including economic parameter analysis and capital requests.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly budget reviews in collaboration with the Manager.
    • Develop and produce management reports as required by the organization.
    • Liaise with budget subject managers to review budgets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Compile quarterly reports to business stakeholders outlining budget variances.
    • Maintain and develop financial management information systems.
    • Assist in the development of systems and provide information for the analysis of tenders and pricing of services and activities.
    • Provide accurate cost information relating to the costing of products, services, and activities.

    Qualifications and Experience: Required

    • CPA or CA Part qualified
    • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in medium to large organisation recently

    Desirable

    • Experience using TechnologyOne software systems
    • Experience working in NSW, Local or Federal Government agencies
