In our CFCs - together with the proprietary software applications - we operate a world-class online grocery business that automates the single pick of products, ready for your online delivery via our local partner Coles.

    About the Role:

    Join the team to support our upcoming Customer Fulfilment Centre go live in Truganina, Australia.

    As a Team Leader Technician you will play an important role in providing front line support for the day to day supervision of Technicians on shift, including prioritisation and allocation of workload.

    This role will require flexibility due to us being a 24/ 7 operation, with a shift pattern that will require working days, nights and weekends.

    The day to day for a Technician may involve:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed.
  • Perform advanced fault-finding to trouble shoot issues with equipment.
  • Conduct and complete repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Perform first line technical escalation function for Technicians
  • Work to and follow Health and Safety policies, including those set by Ocado, Coles and Australian regulatory standards.
  • Seek guidance from the HS&E team where there is uncertainty.
  • Assess capability, identify strengths and resolve training and skill requirements.
  • Prioritise and allocate work to Technicians on shift.
  • Make technical recommendations and provide solutions to technicians as required
  • Liaise with the COE/OSS team to resolve any issues or carry out planned work on the grid or any peripherals.

    • About You:

  • Some technical ability and understanding relating to automation hardware and software would be preferred, but training can be given.
  • A formal engineering or trade related qualification would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and strong problem solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to impart knowledge effectively to others.
  • Good organisation skills, able to prioritise.
  • Knowledge of control systems would also be preferred.
  • This role involves working at height using a variety of access equipment, so Technicians need to be comfortable working at heights .
