About the Role
The CSSD Department at Linacre Private Hospital supports 5 theatres.


CSSD Team Leader:


  • A fantastic opportunity to join as CSSD Team Leader with a strong team focus to assist in the day to day coordination of the Central Sterilising Stores Department activities.
  • In this role you will be required to lead a small team of CSSD Technicians to ensure departmental tasks are achieved in an effective and efficient manner.
  • This position requires an individual with the ability to be a positive role model and be a natural mentor.

About You

  • You will have exceptional communication skills and will be a passionate mentor with the capability to support and assist in the leadership of a team of professionals.
You will also demonstrate;

  • Certificate III in Sterilising Services
  • Minimum 3 (three) years' CSSD experience
  • Extensive knowledge of standards & AS4187 requirements
  • Experience in competency assessment and staff training
  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven organisational skills and highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Cert IV in Sterilising or Training & Assessment; or working towards obtaining such qualification (desirable)
  • Previous experience as a CSSD Team Leader (desirable)
  • Enrolled Nurses invited to apply. AHPRA registration required for EN applicants.
  • Prior experience in management of orthopedic Loan sets advantageous.

CSSD Technician:


In this role you will be responsible for carrying out the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment for Linacre Clinical departments and external customers.


  • This will include working in conjunction with the Operating Theatre staff to provide timely sterile products, endoscopes, trays and equipment where applicable.
  • This is a critical part of the surgical process and the ability to work efficiently with your team to manage pressing deadlines is crucial.
  • The role handles several loan instruments and stock from various companies that must be checked as part of the role.
  • You will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre areas and CSD whilst practising exceptional customer service and maintaining the high operational standards of the sterilisation department.
In this role you will report to the CSSD Manager and work closely with an efficient professional team.


About You

  • To succeed in this role, you will have or working towards a qualification in Sterilising Services. You will also be required to have knowledge and experience in working with Endoscopes.
  • In addition, you will thrive in a fastpaced environment with the ability to assist the perioperative team to deliver the best care for our patients in line with our Ramsay core values.

You will also bring:


  • Certificate (or working towards) in Sterilising Services
  • Be customer orientated internal and external
  • Ability to be flexible with shifts
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
