When it comes to experience in working in constantly changing situations, my skills from my year of volunteering comes to fruition. As a volunteer with the Dandenong Peer Leaders, we had a consistent group. However, we only had time to discuss plans in the meeting rooms. After that, we were on our own. We had to change and adapt. I had to watch the time carefully and watch my team members from a distance, silently coordinating times. We had to be social to provide a safe and fun experience for others during the events. I focused on my task and others while my other Peer Leaders did the same. We worked and organised information during our meeting with laptops, tablets, and other resources provided to us. I prided myself on being able to go with the flow and adjust my behaviour to work efficiently.

At my previous position at a virtual reality lounge, I had to constantly be on my toes. My previously learned skills helped me to develop more skills to add to my skill set. I was tasked to be an instructor. I had to have strong communication skills. I was guiding people in games and helping them reach their goals in games. Without communication skills, people would not be able to enjoy their time in-game. With customers not being able to see what is physically in front of them, I have to also be on the watch and be ready to find solutions to problems that may occur. I had to stay alert and avoid letting people crash into each other. I had to have a keen eye and look for little details and tip-offs. I had to be physically fit and on my toes to avoid customers ruining the property.

With such a large gap between my position at the VR lounge and the next position, I really needed to brush up my skills and catch up with everyone else. Especially since I was coming in during school holidays. I needed to be prepared for anything and do my best to communicate with my co-workers. I needed to stay on task while doing my best to interact with guests. I wanted to give the best experience to the guests. I also needed to keep the space I was working in a Covid free zone. So I was constantly cleaning my zone before, after and during times guests were using machinery. Cleaning up and maintaining control of the party and the crowds. All while trying to maintain the VR station and giving the ones playing the best experience. I do my best to follow the company motto, "say yes to the guest".

With all my previous jobs, I have been trusted with tasks as I was seen as self-sufficient and reliable. I adapted and quickly caught up with even the more difficult tasks.
