Bulahdelah Central School is located in the Bulahdelah township in the Hunter/Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. Bulahdelah Central School provides quality education for some 400 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. With a current enrolment of 110 students in our primary and 290 students in our secondary department which includes three multi-categorical classes. Twenty percent of the student population identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. The school provides a compressed curriculum catering for students in Stage 6. School structures provide learning opportunities for all age abilities.

Demonstrated ability to collaboratively lead whole school improvement and professional learning within a strategic plan, resulting in improved educational outcomes for students.

Demonstrated capacity to implement research driven quality whole school Literacy and Numeracy programs to improve student outcomes and promote engagement.

Demonstrated capacity to effectively build and nurture a positive school culture.

General Selection Criteria1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policiesConditions
