- Play a pivotal role in helping reinvent assessment and exams within the Faculty of Medicine and Health
- Empower leading academics to provide high quality assessments
- provide operational advice and guidance on matters of assessment strategy and policy through the implementation of the work area strategy, monitoring, and reporting on progress, whilst identifying and making recommendations to address implementation challenges
- manage the implementation of strategic assessment programs and projects for the work area, ensuring the achievement of key objectives and results
- effectively implement the faculty's educational assessment programs and improvement projects
- coordinate the delivery of examinations, including managing question maintenance and exam creation via online assessment systems for the faculty.
- demonstrated ability to manage and respond to risks, and ensure compliance in complex environments with tact, discretion, and sound judgement
- sound knowledge of university policies and procedures and assessment approaches within a tertiary environment
- demonstrated high level communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build strong working relationships and engage with a broad range of stakeholders
- demonstrated management experience and skills in the efficient and effective management of people, service providers and resources as business as usual and during a change environment
- excellent interpersonal, influencing, and advisory skills including the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to create buy-in and achieve support for innovative approaches and initiatives
- high level ability to review and implement effective systems and processes to deliver time and mission-critical projects
- proven ability to lead, manage and motivate staff ensuring that team members are developed to their full potential within a client service environment.

About the opportunity
The Faculty of Medicine and Health are seeking an Assessment Manager to work alongside key academic and professional staff to lead a team that operationalises areas of the assessment delivery cycle online examinations, online proctoring and clinical assessments in the Faculty of Medicine and Health. This role acts as a link between Faculty and central PSUs to implement and refine assessment and examination processes at a Faculty level, thereby supporting best practice delivery across the academic year.
