    As a Securities Operations Specialist, you will form part of a 3-member team responsible for supporting post-trade investment activities. You will report to the Investment Operations Manager and work alongside the Cash Administrator. The successful candidate will focus on settlement of trades, collateral management, assisting with cash reconciliations and developing good working relationships with various stakeholders. You will collaborate with the wider team including the local Investment Management and Client Service & Marketing teams as well as other Western Asset offices around the world. You will also be dealing with clients, custodians, brokers, registries and vendors.

    This is a fast-moving field, with ever-greater calibration to niche operational needs, so there are plenty of opportunities for learning and development.     What you will do

    • Daily cash account reconciliations and matching of broker confirmations
    • Liaise with brokers, custodians, registries on transactions executed, including any settlement issues that may arise
    • Management of collateral
    • Reconcile futures transactions to futures clearing brokers' statements on a daily basis.
    • Analyse daily cash and monthly valuation reconciliations
    • Set-up securities in Western Asset proprietary systems

    What you bring

    • Exposure to settlements process and reconciliations
    • Strong analytical and computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • 1+ years of direct industry experience and basic fixed income knowledge desirable
    • Bachelor's degree preferred, relevant work experience will be considered
