About the role


As the RSPCA Logistics Coordinator, you will be a motivated and enthusiastic leader ready to support the profitability and performance of our Op Shops business unit.


This hands-on role will see you communicating with the public to organise donations, coordinating the logistics teams schedule and will report directly into the RSPCA Commercial Enterprises Support Manager.

You will be supported by the broader Enterprises team, and a small support team.

  • Work closely with and follow direction of the Commercial Enterprises Support Manager to support multiple locations of stock delivery.
  • Represent the RSPCA Qld Op Shop team and brand through your passion for all things preloved and secondhand and encourage the same within your team to create a positive supportive atmosphere.
  • Recommend and implement ways in which to maximise sales and ensure a sustainable flow of incoming donated stock.
  • Oversee and review all goods for sale in donation hubs to ensure profitability and stock quality.
  • Support the Op Shops team with incoming donated goods and communicate with donors regarding unsuitable items, and support in the coordination of the pickup and delivery of donated goods.
  • Managing staff movements, rosters, approving timesheets, and leave for the logistics team.
  • Collaborate with other departments/business units to ensure necessary support for the achievement of RSPCA values and business targets.

Who are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience in logistics coordination.
  • Flexible and versatile working style with a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in regularly achieving KPI's whilst looking for opportunities for continuous improvement and profit growth.
  • People management, using your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in a business environment.
  • Knowledgeable in secondhand goods, fashion brands, and other highend donated products.
  • The ability to lead, inspire, mentor and motivate teams as well as positively influence store culture and drive results.
  • Effective communication skills to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to define clear goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
This is a full-time position, working 38 hours per week. Remuneration will be commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
