About the role
As the RSPCA Logistics Coordinator, you will be a motivated and enthusiastic leader ready to support the profitability and performance of our Op Shops business unit.
This hands-on role will see you communicating with the public to organise donations, coordinating the logistics teams schedule and will report directly into the RSPCA Commercial Enterprises Support Manager.
- Work closely with and follow direction of the Commercial Enterprises Support Manager to support multiple locations of stock delivery.
- Represent the RSPCA Qld Op Shop team and brand through your passion for all things preloved and secondhand and encourage the same within your team to create a positive supportive atmosphere.
- Recommend and implement ways in which to maximise sales and ensure a sustainable flow of incoming donated stock.
- Oversee and review all goods for sale in donation hubs to ensure profitability and stock quality.
- Support the Op Shops team with incoming donated goods and communicate with donors regarding unsuitable items, and support in the coordination of the pickup and delivery of donated goods.
- Managing staff movements, rosters, approving timesheets, and leave for the logistics team.
- Collaborate with other departments/business units to ensure necessary support for the achievement of RSPCA values and business targets.
Who are we looking for?
- Demonstrated experience in logistics coordination.
- Flexible and versatile working style with a willingness to learn.
- Experience in regularly achieving KPI's whilst looking for opportunities for continuous improvement and profit growth.
- People management, using your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in a business environment.
- Knowledgeable in secondhand goods, fashion brands, and other highend donated products.
- The ability to lead, inspire, mentor and motivate teams as well as positively influence store culture and drive results.
- Effective communication skills to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to define clear goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
