- Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to type (minimum 30 words per minute);

- Sound knowledge of the local labour market;
- An understanding of case management framework;
- Sales and customer service experience;
- Extensive working knowledge of federally funded Employment Programs and funding models;
- Experience mentoring Indigenous customers in employment;
- Experience in working with ex-offenders in an employment or rehabilitation setting;
- Proven ability to work in an outcome based, high pressure environment, positively and with enthusiasm;
- Have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development; and
- Hold a current driver's licence and have own vehicle with the willingness to travel across the region.

About the Role
The role of the Specialist Employment Mentor will focus on supporting Ex-Offender or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander customers by providing intensive mentoring to ensure their transition into employment is successful and sustained.
You'll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9-day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full-time employee in addition to the ability to salary sacrifice. This role is being offered on a full time, ongoing basis and will work across Coburg, Cheltenham, Fitzroy, Box Hill, Prahran sites.

Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
