    Description
    Emanate Technology is working with a key client to seek the services of a skilled Data Analyst.

    As part of this role the Data Analyst will be reporting to the Director and will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, manipulating and integrating data from a range of sources to produce new datasets and visualisations.

    The preferred candidate will be working in a RStudio and Python script environments with some prototyping in Posit/RShiny for a range of audience cohorts and across a range of platforms and devices.



    Duties and Responsibilities Include (but not limited to) :


    • Apply technical expertise and sound mathematics and statistical knowledge to support data discovery, gathering, cleaning, transformation and analysis with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Be familiar with or able to quickly understand labour market and skills data from a range of sources and their inter-relationships.
    • Ensure high-quality data and script integrity through meticulous routine quality assurance.
    • Effectively navigate R Studio to update data sets and run data queries.
    • Working with product managers and data scientists to develop metrics and visualisations for a range of different audiences.
    • Work both independently and within a team to achieve strategic objectives.

    Capabilities & Experience :


    • 3-5 years' experience in data collection, validation, transformation, and analysis.
    • Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in R programming, experienced with SQL and Python.
    • Strong understanding of mathematics and statistical methods and techniques for data analysis, such as regression analysis.
    • Experienced with git source control and services (GitHub).
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to work under pressure.
    • Able to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
    • Preferably a relevant tertiary degree in ICT, statistics, science, or something similar.
    • Demonstrate a good understanding of some labour force and skills datasets, such as ANZSCO, ANZSIC, Labour Force Survey data, NCVER data, Higher Education data, or others.
    • Ability to learn quickly, work to short deadlines and manage competing priorities of varying complexity and urgency.
    • 1-2 years' experience in data visualisation using tools such as Excel, Power BI, R Shiny, etc.
