The RoleThe Fair Entitlements Guarantee (FEG) is a safety net scheme of last resort that provides financial assistance to eligible employees for unpaid employment entitlements when they have lost their job due to the liquidation or bankruptcy of their employer.
Reporting to the Assistant Secretary of the FEG Branch, you will lead a large team in a high demand service environment, to assess claims for financial assistance made by employees who are owed employment entitlements after losing their jobs due to insolvency.
You will be responsible for ensuring the necessary processes and practices are in place to meet current and forecasted demand.
You will use program data and reporting to strategically manage the team's workflow to provide FEG claimants with timely outcomes that are of a high quality.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the EL2 may include:Ensure the necessary processes, practices and reporting practices are in place to meet current and forecasted demand.
Effectively develop, implement and communicate required strategies in order to meet demand.Working flexibly and collaboratively across the branch to achieve the best outcomes for the program.
Analyse and measure team performance by developing reporting practices, using workflow reporting and analysis to allocate and identify claim processing priorities for the team and ensuring claims are progressing to ensure timely payments.
Monitor successful delivery against claim stage timeframes and priorities.Manage and support ongoing capability development for staff through training and resources.
Model and promote behaviours to build a positive and inclusive culture across the branch.
