    As our new Lead Ports & Marine Designer / Modeller, you'll be a vital part of the Ports, Marine & Coastal Team, steering complex maritime projects from conceptualisation to fruition, utilizing your deep technical expertise and innovative approach. Your role will include:

  • Spearhead the design and modelling aspects of maritime projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry standards.
  • Leverage your deep technical knowledge to oversee and guide the detailed design and modelling processes, validating design specifications and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead a team of designers and modellers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovative solutions and continuous learning.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs fully, co-creating solutions that are both innovative and practical.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, facilitating knowledge transfer and encouraging professional growth.
  • Work closely with various teams and disciplines to cultivate innovative solutions, leveraging the diverse skill sets within the team to bring ideas to life.
  • Ensure the highest standards of work by adhering strictly to industry regulations and best practices, safeguarding client interests at every stage of the project.

    As well as experience in a similar Marine Designer role. Specifically:

  • A diploma/degree in Civil or Marine Engineering, or a related field, complemented by substantial experience in maritime design.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating leadership and expertise in design and modelling in the maritime sector.
  • Proficiency in relevant design and modelling software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • A forward-thinking individual with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
  • A collaborative leader who values the input and perspectives of all team members.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development, both personally and for the team.
