Edith Cowan University's Digital and Campus Services centre provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that brings together the digital and physical environments for students and staff, supporting their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs.


Our purpose is to provide fit-for-purpose and innovative planning and delivery services that contribute to the success of ECU as a vibrant and progressive University.


The Data Governance and Analytics team delivers business intelligence, analytics, digital productivity and performance improvement initiatives to Executives, Schools and Professional Services to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of decision-making.

The Role

The Digital Productivity Lead will report to the Chief Data Officer, who has the Data and Digital Productivity responsibility.


This position is suitable for someone who is passionate about improving digital productivity through the optimal use of relevant technology, has excellent communication and business analysis skills to understand business requirements, managing and directing the technical team tasked with governance, support and implementation of solutions utilising tools available within the Office365 and Service Now platforms.


Your key responsibilities will include:

Develop vision and operational plans to improve collaboration, communication and productivity using O365 platform across the University.

Managing Office 365 licensing, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and optimizing license allocation to match organizational needs.

Staying updated on the latest Office 365 features, best practices, and industry trends. Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the organization's usage of the platform and providing training to users on new functionalities.

Empowering users through comprehensive training to maximize the platform's features and functions, ultimately boosting productivity and promoting seamless collaboration.


Nurture partnerships with Microsoft and various vendors, facilitating the resolution of technical hurdles, seeking support, and ensuring a current understanding of platform updates, enhancements, and emerging functionalities.

Key Criteria

The successful applicant will ideally have;


Proven track record in successfully delivering projects and managing change during the implementation and adoption of technology solutions, empowering business users to achieve enhanced productivity outcomes.

Exhibits exceptional proficiency in communication, adeptly conveying complex ideas and fostering a cohesive team environment.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a national police clearance.
