    Description

    Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Project Manager to lead the delivery of Tier 1 Infrastructure projects for FMCG warehouse and distribution facilities, with investment budgets up to $1b. The successful candidate will manage a diverse team of stream leads, ensuring robust decision-making and effective collaboration. This role is based in Bella Vista, with flexibility for on-site work in Norwest and Eastern Creek.

    What you'll do:

    As a Senior Operations Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of significant infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for providing project leadership, managing a diverse team of stream leads, and ensuring robust decision-making processes are in place. Your ability to collaborate effectively with internal customers and other business units will be key to your success in this role. You will also be responsible for maintaining correct governance and assurance, as well as complying with the project management framework.

    • Provide project and thought leadership on the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
    • Manage a broad team of stream leads, ensuring robust decision-making and effective collaboration.
    • Report progress, risks & issues, and financials through various departmental and cross-divisional forums.
    • Work collaboratively with major internal customers and other business units.
    • Ensure correct governance and assurance is maintained.
    • Comply with the project management framework.

    What you bring:

    The ideal candidate for this Senior Operations Project Manager role brings a wealth of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects. You have sound knowledge of the development, construction, and business readiness of large scale warehousing or distribution facilities. Your demonstrated experience in managing multiple teams to achieve agreed deliverables sets you apart. You are well-versed in project management methodologies and tools, with an ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. A qualification in Project Management fundamentals or an equivalent technical degree is required. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.

    • Extensive knowledge of the development, construction, and business readiness of large scale warehousing or distribution facilities.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple teams to achieve agreed deliverables.
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
    • Ability to identify risks and mitigate against them.
    • Suitably qualified in Project Management fundamentals or equivalent technical degree.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
