Department OverviewAs one of only a handful of companies that design and manufacture High Frequency (HF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) radio communications systems for military and commercial organisation globally, Barrett Communications (a Motorola Solutions company) are constantly innovating and solving the communications challenges our customers face in some of the most inhospitable locations around the world.

From our extensive Bibra Lake facility, in the Cockburn Commercial Park, the Production Manager will oversee the Supply Chain Team, manufacturing, testing, and repairing Barrett products to export to our customers around the world.

Job DescriptionThe Production Manager is responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and maintaining quality of output.
Take charge of thePurchasing/Stores/Testand Inspection areas.
To maintain work flow and meet KPI targets set by management.
Manage sub contract suppliers to ensure a quality product is delivered in a committed time frame.
Drive transformational changes in manufacturing through adoption and employment of cutting-edge automation technologies.

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the production departmentOrganize production workflow and schedule to meet delivery commitmentsEnsure manufacturing process and product manufactured in the factory is in compliance with quality, regulations, and guidelines requirements as stated in the company policy and product specificationsProvide regular update of the production status, delivery and issues affecting delivery planCollaborating with various functions within the organization to deliver excellent service at all time to all customersResponsible for the inventory, inventory cycle count, excess & obsolescence managementPlan and execute purchasing of strategic/controlled itemsCreate work orders for internal production and subcontractorsTrack and manage work orders in the ERP system to ensure proper inventory transaction at every stage of the processAnalyze demand and provide forecast for material and inventory planningEstablish a good working relationship with suppliers and subcontractorsResponsible for production capacity planning and maintenanceSupport service & maintenance return and repairResponsible for maintaining product Bill of Materials in the ERP systemImplement continuous improvement by utilizing lean manufacturing processDrive daily improvements to optimize cost, quality and deliveryMaintain a safe and clean production area at all times.

Maintain workplace safety per the local EHS regulations and company requirementsProvide leadership to a team of employees on siteProvide constructive and timely performance evaluations of employeesBasic RequirementsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Logistics

Min 8 years experience in electronics manufacturing environmentExperience in managing high mix low volume productionProficient in communication and able to communicate clearly and concisely with the different level of audiences in the organizationCustomer focus - committed to providing exceptional customer service experiences.
