About the role:

This role will demonstrate a relevant background and record of accomplishment in strategic communication for both domestic and international audiences.

Duties
- transform complex development content into succinct results-based Ministerial products for websites, social media, campaigns and multimedia products
- manage/assist with events and stakeholder engagement around the new policy in liaison with international development partners and agencies, think tanks, private sector, academic institutions, diplomatic core, government departments, managing contractors and external suppliers
- write communications including briefings, cables, internal and public facing products for traditional and digital channels targeting domestic and international audiences
- oversee production of visuals, graphic design and multimedia communications promoting the value of Australia's international development program

Required experience/skills
- have strong professional judgement and excellent management/support, liaison, representation and written skills
- be motivated and highly independent with proven ability to convert analysis into effective and impactful communication products and strategies
- be a team player, able to build and coordinate networks and engage stakeholders

Qualifications (or equivalent experience) in a degree/diploma or postgraduate diploma with a major in journalism, editing, strategic communications, public relations, marketing. Experience in government communications essential.
