About the role:


The ICT Support Officer is responsible for providing a high level of technical expertise to support and maintain a stable technology environment for staff across offices in Canberra and Sydney.

As a member of a small and disciplined team, you will need to be flexible and committed to providing innovative and fit-for-purpose services and solutions to support the delivery of strategic, project and operational outcomes.


Due to the nature of the work required occasionally, the team member may receive calls from clients outside of standard business hours.

There may also be a need to perform ICT maintenance out of hours. There will be some limited travel to NSW to support customers and systems on-site.


Duties

  • Contribute to the completion of the ICT Service Desk workload, including resolution of incidents and requests, ensuring progression and maintaining set priorities, keeping customers and team members informed and uptodate, and where applicable informing relevant ICT team members of issues, or potential problems and proposed solutions
  • Prepare and maintain system support and standard operating procedure documentation.
  • Provision new devices to staff and assist users to transition to the new hardware, SOE, Windows OS and M365 apps

Required experience/skills

  • Qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Information Communication Technologies with a strong focus on client service
  • Working knowledge of ITIL principles (desirable).
  • Applicants have at least 12 years' experience working on an ICT helpdesk
