Networks & Systems Administration (Information & Communication Technology)

Allectum are seeking System Administrators who have a PV clearance.

For this role, you will need expert knowledge and a skill level equivalent to SFIA Level 5 - IT Infrastructure.

Responsibilities will include:

Providing oversight and ownership of life cycle management and supportability of infrastructure.
Supporting teams to ensure governance of managed service providers in the ICT infrastructure domain and their adherence to service performance, scope and compliance obligations
Providing guidance, recommendations and ad hoc reporting on infrastructure hygiene, health and performance, and identify areas for improvement within the ICT infrastructure.
Reporting back to management on project challenges and seeking resolutions independently and through different teams.
Working with various stakeholders to understand business requirements for ICT infrastructure, and translating them into functional and non-functional requirements and technical designs.
Being an escalation point for the ITSM and Business Support teams for high priority incidents.

We are looking for a candidate with:

Skill level equivalent to SFIA Level 5 – IT Infrastructure
Formal qualifications and technical background in computer science, computer systems engineering, computer systems and networks, or electrical/electronic engineering.
Experience in large scale complex infrastructure in the ICT industry, preferably with Defence.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to articulate solutions clearly and concisely.
Experience in working with Solution integrators, Telcos, and other service providers.
Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and cloud platforms and a methodical approach to implementing projects with sharp execution.
Experience working in outsourced environment.
Strong skills in cloud platforms, (AWS, Azure, GCP).
In depth knowledge of Windows Server platforms
In depth knowledge of Active Directory.
Good understanding of virtualisation platforms (VMWare).
Experience in working with stakeholders to define and document requirements (both functional and non-functional).
In depth knowledge of Intel platform, SAN, backup, file server, software distribution, etc.
Good understanding of network concepts and terminology.
An ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Current AGSVA Security Clearance PV or the ability and willingness to upgrade their clearance to a PV.

Candidate must be able to:

Work through ITIL service desk technologies, attending CABs and gaining approvals for implementation work.
Assist with onsite and cloud installations of new equipment
Work independently and within a team. Able to upskill independently and apply new skills to existing and upcoming projects.
Express strategic and tactical thinking in solving infrastructure problems.
