    Description
    • Financial Accountant Required
    • 6-month contract (with potential permanent role)
    • $110, ,000 plus superannuation

    Our client is seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team and play a pivotal role in achieving our financial and management reporting goals. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will bring your expertise to ensure the integrity of our general ledger and contribute to driving process improvements. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for the role to become permanent.

    About the Role:

    • Ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness
    • Monthly business unit P&L reporting and analysis in collaboration with business unit owners
    • Supporting annual audit and tax return processes while driving process improvement and participating in ad hoc reporting and projects

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a good understanding of the monthly close process
    • Experience working within complex environments, demonstrating a positive can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
    • Strong Excel skills, with Power BI being preferable, and knowledge of Microsoft Navision as an advantage
    • Relevant university degree and CA/CPA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualification
