- Preparing and analyzing financial statements following accounting principles and standards
- Developing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis
- Handling transaction journals processing and account reconciliations
- Conducting financial analysis to identify trends and offer decision-making insights
- Managing investment and cash flow, including bank reconciliations
- Seeking opportunities to enhance financial processes and systems for improved efficiency
- Assisting in tax planning and compliance
- Establishing and maintaining internal controls for asset safeguarding and accurate financial reporting
- Coordinating audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Minimum 3 years' experience with excellent knowledge of local APRA reporting requirements focusing on regulatory compliance
- Expertise in AASB17 / IFRS17
- Advanced Excel skills
- Desirable to have CPA, CA or equivalent qualifications
- Experience with SAP
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Ability for strategic thinking and liaising at a senior level
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and prioritization skills
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical and problems solving abilities
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Adherence to confidentiality and meeting deadlines
