    The Role

    The Financial Accountant is a critical member of the Finance Team. The Team prepares financial accounts, statutory reports, engages with investors, manages the balance sheet, drives company strategy, reviews all financial investments, supports the operating businesses in the preparation and delivery of strategy, manages the company's working capital and funding requirements in line with strategy, compliance and risk management, and supports the Board.

    Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role includes:

    • Execute the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable ledgers.
    • Management of trade credit applications.
    • Management of trade credit insurance with the company's insurance brokers.
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the Finance Team which includes but not limited to providing support to Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliation.
    • Ensure full compliance will all policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
    • Active management of Revenue Recognition & Accounts receivable.
    • Ensure accurate invoicing of customers and engage with sales team to resolve billing and payment issues.
    • Engage with customers and manage account's relationships to ensure smooth payment of outstanding amounts and address delinquent accounts.
    • Ensure Monthly Receivable ledgers are fully reconciled with customer.
    • Ensure all invoices are paid as per agreed terms.
    • Analysis & Reporting of AR results including aging of debtors.
    • Manage month end close activities of Accounts Receivables and Bank Reconciliation.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • CA or CPA qualified.
    • Previous external accounting experience is desirable.
    • Experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles, finance processes.
    • Experience in Microsoft Dynamic or other ERP systems.
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products and willingness to adapt to new technologies, industry trends and best practices in revenue recognition.
    • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
    • Ability to optimise process – streamlining, identifying bottlenecks, and enhancing operational efficiency.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Customer centric focus – ability to design processes that enhance customer experience, retention, satisfaction, and loyalty.
