    Senior Project Manager - Market Risk System Integration - Banking

    Acting as the Senior Project Manager & Scrum Master you'll be delivering a risk system consolidation & integration for a large bank in Sydney CBD.

    This role requires a hands-on Project manager who can act as the scrummaster for the team whilst engaging Financial Risk and Risk system stakeholders.

    Along with the Product Owner you'll drive the outcomes for the teams to ensure milestones are achieved.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead end-to-end project management for Financial Risk projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders including risk analysts, regulatory experts, technology teams, and business leaders to define project objectives, prioritize requirements, and manage expectations.
    • Serve as the Scrum Master for the squad, facilitating Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Apply expert knowledge of market risk to assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Implement robust quality assurance processes, conduct thorough testing, and ensure deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to senior management, steering committees, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Coordinate resources, both internal and external, to ensure adequate support for project activities and deliverables.
    • Drive the adoption of best practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation including project plans, status reports, risk registers, and other relevant artifacts.

    Experience needed

    • Are a current hands-on Senior Project Manager within financial services who has delivered Financial Risk AND system integration within the banking or financial services industry.
    • Has the experience to lead the Scrum team and drive outcomes.
    • Expertise in Agile methodologies and previous experience as a Scrum Master.
    • Understanding of credit risk, market risk, and prudential risk concepts, regulations, and best practices. ( Desired)
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
