About the opportunity


We are seeking the appointment of a full-time Strategy Officer to the Strategy team within the Division of Student Services & Operations reporting to the Senior Strategy and Markets Analyst.


The Strategy Officer is responsible for working collaboratively with the Strategy team to support the effective delivery of a broad range of strategic projects and planning and implementation of strategic processes across the University of Tasmania.


What you'll do:


  • Collaborate with the strategy team to coordinate timely delivery of specific projects.
  • Collate and analyse data for project purposes, prepare reports and other necessary documentation, and implement updates as required.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings to gather insights and take comprehensive notes for discussion and sharing with the strategy team.
  • Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and delivery of strategy engagement activities with university leadership groups and other key stakeholders.
  • Proactively contribute ideas and effort for continuous improvement.

What we're looking for:


  • Relevant experience in a similar role/area (minimum 1+ years)
  • A passion to solve problems whilst demonstrating an excellent eye for detail and curiosity to investigate deeper when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trustbased stakeholder relationships at various levels.
  • Extensive skills and capability in Microsoft Office suite and collaborative tools like Zoom, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary details


Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $110,273 comprising base salary within the range of $86,918 to $94,250 plus 17% superannuation.
