    The opportunity

    First Page is looking for a hands-on Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance team who will thrive in a fast paced and busy environment.

    What you will be doing:

    • Manage the day-to-day accounting transactions.
    • Oversee accounts payables and manage the accounts receivable.
    • Make payments, invoicing and billing, bank reconciliations, and expense claims for multiple entities
    • Track, record, and reconcile all expenses and bank accounts.
    • Process payroll and other related payroll tasks, such as commission calculation.
    • Review and approve staff leave requests and answer staff's queries on their employment agreements and company policies.
    • Complete various month-end tasks for multiple entities.
    • Liaise with members from other teams such as sales and account managers
    • Other ad hoc projects as and when required and answer the clients' queries.
    • Calculate and prepare monthly commissions.
    • Reconciliation, preparation, and lodgement of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS).
    • Prepare budgeting and forecasting.
    • Credit control of overdue payments.
    • Liaise with the external Accountant for annual financial statements and tax returns.
    • Identify process performance issues and suggest and implement solutions.
    • Basic HR administrative tasks.

    What you'll need to succeed

    • Minimum 3 years' work experience in Financial Accounting is required (preferably in a fast-growing business)
    • CA/CPA membership or equivalent or working towards
    • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly to all levels within in the business.
    • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to resolve competing priorities.
    • A strong work ethic and drive to get things done.
    • Demonstrated ability to streamline existing accounting processes, whilst ensuring a strong financial control environment is always continued.
    • Well-developed quantitative, financial, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial and non-financial information.
    • Strong Excel and Xero skills as well as an inclination to pick up new systems easily.
    • Strong technical accounting skills.
    • Bachelor of Business Degree / Diploma in Accounting
    • Be able to file properly and follow the current processes and procedures
