About the role


Make a real impact on the lives of countless animals Join our team as an Op Shop Area Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our op shops.

Not only will you assist in managing our existing stores, but you'll also have the exciting opportunity to lead and implement innovative new initiatives.

  • Provide professional leadership and open communication.
  • Contributing to a culture of inclusivity, team focus and a learningbased organisation.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to maintain productive stakeholder relationships.
  • Work with the Op Shops team to improve presentation standards, overall operation, and drive sales across the state.
  • Support and train new and existing shop managers and supervisors in developing sites.
  • Coordinate and schedule projects to ensure alignment and smooth rollout of key initiatives.
  • Support a lean process approach to analyse shop operations and identify areas of process enhancement while generating and implementing solutions.

Who are we looking for?

  • Current open driver's license, essential.
  • 5 years' experience in retail management, essential.
  • Feel an alignment with your values and those of the RSPCA Qld mission and vision.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional standards of customer service.
  • A network connector who can view the organisation from both a macro and micro level to connect business initiatives for best case outcome.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Pragmatic and empathetic approach to staff and volunteer management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationship with volunteers, staff, and management to promote and support the RSPCA Qld.
  • Excellent organisational skills including attention to detail, the ability to multitask and manage various priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to perform physical duties including manual handling.
This is a full-time position,
including regular weekend shifts. Remuneration is as per the General Retail Industry Award commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
