- Prepare month end financial journals in TechOne.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit monthly actual reporting in CBMS
- Prepare EOFY journals and reporting.
- Assist with managing and updating estimates in the appropriate systems.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team member on AP/AR and treasury related matters.
- BAS, FBT and other tax related matters.

Description
Deliver the financial reporting requirements to an agency who focuses on improving integrity in the APS
Our client is an independent Commonwealth agency who aim improve integrity across the Australian Public Service.
This entity has received additional funding which means they will be building capability across their teams for future growth.
This is an opportunity to join the financial accounting team on a 6 – 12-month non-ongoing contract.
You will be working under managers who has had extensive experience in Federal government and provide strong mentorship.
The team has good processes in place but there is also an opportunity to look at how processes can be improved to make the role your own.
Key responsibilities include:
The Ideal Person
You will likely be working for another government department as part of a financial statements team as this role requires someone to get across the work requirements quickly.
You could also be someone who has worked as an external auditor looking to make the transition across to the other side of the desk.
You will be degree qualified and have obtained your CA/CPA qualifications.
You must be an Australian citizen and have an existing Baseline clearance
You will be known for your analytical skills and as well your ability to be a forward think who has strong written and verbal communication skills.
You are likely the go to person in your organisations to provide solutions to problems that arise or look at processes to see if any efficiencies can be gained.
Salary / Rate
$85K – $95K + Super
