Work with a high-profile Federal Government organisation to deliver financial reporting and compliance.
Our client is an important government department who contribute significantly to the health and wellbeing of the nation. This organisation is a well-regarded Commonwealth department and focus largely on key social and ceremonial policy issues.
The Opportunity
This role is being offered as a 12-month non-ongoing contract or a permanent transfer opportunity. The structure of the team allows each Assistant Director to focus on departmental financial reporting however over time there is opportunity to be crossed trained. The team has well established processes in place but it is also an opportunity to look at how processes can be improve to make the role your own.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
The Ideal Person
You will likely be working for another government department delivering financial statements as it requires someone to get across the work requirements quickly. You could also be someone who has worked as an external auditor looking to make the transition across to the other side of the desk. You will be degree qualified and have obtained your CA/CPA qualifications. You will be known for your analytical skills and as well your ability to be a forward think who has strong written and verbal communication skills. You are likely the go to person in your organisations to provide solutions to problems that arise or look at processes to see if any efficiencies can be gained.
