Position Description:

Fonterra employ the best drivers in the industry Now, we are looking for more of the best to join our Cobden team for the 2023/24 season.

As a Milk Tanker Driver, you will play a crucial role in transporting milk from farms to processing facilities, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain.

Our drivers are professionals, committed to delivering customer service in a safe way. Our Tanker Drivers do much more than just drive from A to B. We offer variety, full training and a robust health & safety record.

We are looking for seasonal drivers who are available and willing to work a combination of day & night shifts.

Key tasks:

Safely and efficiently operate a milk tanker truck to collect milk from farms and transport it to designated processing facilities
Conduct pre

- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal condition and reporting any maintenance or repair needs

Comply with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies, including those related to safety, cleanliness, and quality control
Maintain accurate records of milk collection, including quantities and farm details
Adhere to strict hygiene standards to maintain the integrity and quality of the milk during transportation
Identify and report any potential risks, incidents, or near misses in a timely manner
Uphold Fonterra's reputation by providing exceptional customer service and acting as a brand ambassador in all interactions

What you'll bring:

A current MC or HC license (this is essential)
Recent experience driving on rural roads (with liquid loads desirable)
Experience in Dairy and Food is preferred, but not essential
A working commitment to Fonterra's high health and safety standards
Ideally, proven experience in heavy vehicle driving experience
A high level of professionalism and a servicebased approach that allows you to easily interact with Fonterra customers and suppliers
Proven ability to work well unsupervised with a flexible, reliable work ethic and be flexible to work a range of different shifts
