- Ideally 5 years experience in a similar role within the industry
- Cultural competence and sensitivity, particularly in engaging with Indigenous communities and addressing the unique needs and challenges faced by First Nations Australian Apprentices.
- Proven experience in managing complex programs, preferably within the vocational education and training (VET) sector, with a focus on specialist support initiatives
- Strong understanding of program development, implementation, and evaluation methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining productive working relationships with subcontractors, industry partners, government, unions and other relevant stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of contract management principles and practices, including experience in overseeing multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Familiarity with contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and performance metrics relevant to Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) specialist contracts.
- Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check/Blue Card and National Police Check

About the Role...
The primary purpose of this position is to manage the Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) specialist contracts (Women in Male-Dominated Trades, Clean Energy and First Nations) nationally, for BUSY At Work. This role will ensure that BUSY At Work and its subcontractors fulfil the requirements of the AASS specialist contracts in line with AASS contractual obligations while advocating at a high level for the future of Australian Apprenticeship specialisation supports.
This role is permanent full time, based anywhere in QLD or NSW with the ability to travel when required throughout the state.
