    Position Summary:
    The Senior Project Engineer leads all the engineering activities of utility-scale Battery Storage projects in Chile.

    The candidate will organize and manage the work and act as the key technical liaison with client's engineer and EPC partners during the design, construction and commissioning phases of the projects.

    Workingcloselywiththecommercialandproductengineeringteamandsuppliers,thecandidatewillplan the engineering activities and work through day-to-day issues.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Providetechnicalleadershipandauthoritywhilerepresentingtheengineeringteamatbothinternal and external forums.
    • Manageengineeringconsultantsorthe EPCperforminggridinterconnectionstudiesasrequiredby utilities and ISOs.
    • Supportcommercialteamwithtechnicalrequirementsdocumentreviewand drafting.
    • Recruitemployeesandoverseetheir development.
    • Developplansandproceduresfordesignreview,qualityinspectionandcommissioning tasks.
    • Supporttheprocurementteamincontractingactivitiesbyreviewingschedulesandcost estimates.
    • Ensureengineeringprocessesandtoolsareestablishedand standardized.
    • Ensurethatproperdocumentationisestablishedforengineering records.
    • Developandmaintainrelationshipswithengineeringfirmsinactive markets.
    • Build,develop,andgrowanybusinessrelationshipsvitaltothebusinessunit's success.
    • Holdthedepartmentaccountableforallworkandissuesrelatingtoprofessionalism.

    Qualificationsand Experience:
    Fluentand SpanishandEnglish

    Minimumtenyeardirecttechnicalexperiencefromanyofthefollowingindustries:
    Substationor Solar EPC, Engineering firm, Energy Storage integrator or similar.
    Workingknowledgeoftheprocessesandthetechnicalrequirementsprescribedunderthenational electricity rules,
    Experienceinworkingwithutilityrequirementsfornetworkplanningand/oraugmentationand generator connections.
    Strongprojectmanagementandleadership skills
    Deepknowledgeinpowersysteminstallation,construction,designphaseengineering,local jurisdiction requirement, project scheduling, system layout design, SLD etc...
    Thoroughunderstandingandproficiencyoflocaljurisdictionrequirements, Fire Code, Safety Certifications, Electrical Safety Regulations,etc.

    Personal Qualifications:
    Anexcellenttimemanager,abletobalancemultipleprojectsandprioritizeawidevarietyofissues, initiatives and objectives concurrently.
    Goodtechnicalwritingskillsandbeabletodraftworkinginstructions, etc...
    Exceptionalabilitytosimplifyandreportcomplicatedscenariostothemanagementteam,with outstanding judgment and decision-making abilities.
    Abilitytoestablishandmaintaineffectiveworkingrelationshipsinternallyandexternallywithstaff, management, clients,suppliers, community partners and external stakeholders.
    Demonstratedsoundjudgmentandtheabilitytobedecisiveincrisis situations.
    Abilitytoworkflexiblehours(evenings)andtraveltoprojectsitesas required.
